Orange County Government announces closings for MLK Day

Orange County Government will be closed Monday, Jan. 18, in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday. Offices will resume normal operations Tuesday, Jan. 19.

Curbside recycling will be collected under the normal schedule on Monday, but all manned Waste and Recycling Centers and the Landfill will be closed.

The COVID-19 testing site at Whitted Human Services Center (300 W. Tryon St., Hillsborough NC 27278) will be open Monday, but the site at the R7 lot in Chapel Hill will be closed. It will reopen Tuesday at 9 a.m.
