Applicants Needed for Chapel Hill Library Advisory Board
Representation from Orange County (BOCC Appointee)
ORANGE COUNTY, NC (March 25, 2021) – One major way citizens can have a positive impact on the future of Orange County is to volunteer to serve on the various County advisory boards and commissions. Volunteers appointed by the Board of County Commissioners have an opportunity to influence the way of life in Orange County.
The Chapel Hill Library Advisory Board is responsible for recommending long-term plans, policies, and programs of library service throughout the community. It advises the Mayor and Council on library matters, develops plans for library facilities, and recommends operating policies of the library. The Advisory Board is also responsible for the monitoring of non-budgeted gifts and donations received by the library.
Presently, a vacancy exists for an Orange County resident who will be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners.
