ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE FOR JUNE 28, 2021

ORANGE COUNTY, NC (June 22, 2021) - Pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes, NCGS § 153A-40, the Orange County Board of Commissioners provides notice of the following special meeting. 
 
The Orange County Board of Commissioners has scheduled a virtual special meeting for Monday, June 28, 2021 starting at 7:00 pm.  The purpose of the virtual special meeting is to hold a work session to discuss the efforts of the Broadband Taskforce since they began meeting in March 2021.  At the end of the work session, the Board of Commissioners will enter into a closed session “to consult with an attorney employed or retained by the public body in order to preserve the attorney-client privilege between the attorney and the public body, which privilege is hereby acknowledged,” pursuant to NCGS § 143-318.11(a)(3) and “to discuss matters relating to the location or expansion of industries or other businesses in the area served by the public body, including agreement on a tentative list of economic development incentives that may be offered by the public body in negotiations, or to discuss matters relating to military installation closure or realignment," pursuant to NCGS § 143-318.11(a)(4).
