Orange County's Complete Count Committee (CCC) is a group of volunteers dedicated to increasing awareness and motivating residents to respond to the 2020 Census. With more than 300 million people in the United States, the U.S. Census Bureau cannot conduct the census alone and relies on community partners for assistance.
The CCC will concentrate on hard-to-reach communities to ensure an accurate count in the 2020 Census. Committee members represent a broad spectrum of government and community leaders from education, business, non-profits and other community organizations. The CCC will develop and implement a 2020 Census awareness campaign to encourage residents to respond to the 2020 Census.
An accurate count ensures that Orange County will receive the funds it is entitled to, money that could go to a new school to ease overcrowded classrooms or a new road to ease overcrowded commutes.
The committee held its inaugural meeting on Monday, July 1, from 2-4 p.m. at the Orange Count Library Main Branch (137 W. Margaret Lane, Hillsborough). Agendas, presentations and other documents from each meeting will be posted on this website in the Committee Documents section.
