Donate online to help with medical care for shelter animals! GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/3db5ae63
A major lifesaving effort at Orange County Animal Services has been our medical care and treatment program for our shelter animals. This program helps us to treat and care for animals with so many different medical issues such as (but not limited to): upper respiratory infections, urinary infections, skin infections, heartworms, ringworm, and special surgeries and procedures for both felines and canines. Without the help of this program, animals with certain medical issues might be deemed unadoptable. As a result of this effort, we have redefined what it means to be an adoptable animal at Orange County Animal Services, a very welcomed and ongoing step in our sheltering program. Donations will also help with medications, medical supplies, and some off-site services and procedures (such as radiographs) that are not currently available in our facility.
Donate online to our Veterinary Care Assistance Program!
In order to keep more pets in their homes with their families, we have developed a fund that can assist Orange County residents with non-routine, non-emergency veterinary expenses. In general, we see many heartbreaking pet surrenders to our shelter as a result of owners not being able to afford to properly care for their pets when they need medical attention.
This fund is available to Orange County residents based on their needs and ability to meet income criteria. Obtaining this assistance would require collaboration with local veterinarians or specialists, and may cover full or partial medical expenses for issues such as: skin infections and other skin issues, dental issues, minor surgeries, etc. This fund does not cover routine veterinary visits and vaccinations. This fund does not cover urgent, emergency situations that require immediate attention. Funds will be issued directly to veterinarians and veterinary clinics or hospitals. These funds are made available by generous donations.
As long as adequate funds are available, this program is here to assist qualifying Orange County residents. This program helps people retain their pets. It is extremely beneficial for pets, pet owners, and Orange County Animal Services. To make a donation, please visit our GoFundMe page.
