Residents, commuters, and other users of the US 70 West corridor are encouraged to participate in one of three upcoming community meetings designed to introduce improvement recommendations and gather feedback and valuable first-hand perspectives from those who live, work, or frequent this corridor.
A series of three meetings is scheduled at different locations, and we encourage you to attend the one most convenient to your schedule. A brief presentation will begin at both 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
- Meeting #1 will be held on Sunday, Nov. 19 from 2 – 4 p.m. at Mebane City Hall, 106 East Washington Street, Mebane, NC 27302.
- Meeting #2 will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Hillsborough Town Hall, 105 East Corbin Street, Hillsborough, NC 27278.
- Meeting #3 will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 2 – 4 p.m. at 300 W. Tryon Street Hillsborough, NC 27278.
Note that these meetings are being held on weekend days; light refreshments and a play zone for kids will be available. Free transportation to/from the meetings can be requested through the Orange County Mobility On Demand (MOD) transit services by calling (919-245-2008) or visiting www.orangecountync.gov/2624/MOD.
