Orange County Recreation Virtual Summer Enrichment

Thank you to everyone who has joined Orange County Recreation for our first Virtual Programs and Summer Enrichment in the months of May and June. In light of the Coronavirus pandemic and ongoing orders to stay at home, limit group gatherings, and practice social distancing to reduce the spread, Orange County Recreation is excited to continue offering Virtual Summer Enrichment opportunities through July 2020.

The information on each of these virtual programs is listed below and on our website at http://www.orangecountync.gov/2429/Summer-Enrichment. Programs will be live, interactive, and small-group to foster interaction with the instructor and socialization with classmates. There will be a nominal fee for these programs to cover supply costs that will be delivered to participants' doorstep the weekend before programs begin. Registration will be conducted through our online registration software. Tips for a Successful Virtual Program Experience

With several weeks of virtual programming under our belts and with input from previous participants, we've put together the following tips to have a successful virtual program experience.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions! Please raise your hand, turn on your microphone, or use the chat to participate with any questions or comments you might have. We want to hear from you!
We strongly encourage you to turn on your webcam to get the most out of our virtual programs! This makes it more welcoming for your instructor and classmates to interact with you and allows for your instructor to see what you are doing to correct any technique or action.
Change settings to view everyone or view active cameras.
Be respectful of your fellow participants, your instructor, and yourselves.
Please follow any additional guidelines your instructor has for your virtual program.
