LET’S CONTINUE THE CONVERSATION Did you know that 90% of people say that talking with their loved ones about end of life care is important, but that only 27% have actually done so? The Project EngAGE End of Life Choices Senior Resource Team is working to change this! Please join us for two sessions: - A small, facilitated group discussion on Tuesday, April 13, and
- A follow-up session on Tuesday, May 11.
The sessions are inspired by the Conversation Project, an organization dedicated to helping people talk about their wishes for end of life care. In small “Conversation Groups,” coached by Project EngAGE End of Life Choices Senior Resource Team members, participants will learn how to engage their loved ones in end of life care conversations. Adult attendees of all ages are welcome. Attendees will receive the Conversation Starter Kit from The Conversation Project and a free copy of The Five Wishes Booklet. Fee: FREE

Requirements: - All students need Google account before class starts.
- If possible, students should have a PC or Mac available. We will use them in the first half of the class.
- All students using a smartphone or tablet should install the Google Photos app before the class starts. We will discuss using Google Photos on mobile devices on the second part of the class.

Discard Safely – Community Medicine DropDid you know disposing of expired or unused medicines can reduce the risk of children getting into them? Regularly checking the medicines in your home and safely disposing of the ones that are no longer needed can help keep your home safer. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the Orange County Safekids Coalition and the OC Department on Aging to offer a Medicine Drop event at three locations in Northern Orange County.

Seymour Tech - Zoom ClassHow to Host & How to Participate in Zoom Meetings Knowing a little bit about Zoom is a prerequisite for any of our Remote Learning classes. You will learn the basics for this widely used internet tool. We'll also teach you how to set up and host your own Zoom meetings.

North Carolina Registry for Brain HealthWould you like to learn about how you might get involved with brain health research? Could you use tips on keeping your brain healthy as you age?
If so, you can join the NC Registry for Brain Health! This is a community of people who want information about ongoing research studies in North Carolina designed to improve brain health and lower the risk of Alzheimer’s disease and other conditions. The Registry connects people like you with information about: Studies of how lifestyle change (diet and exercise) may improve brain health and slow down disease in those who may already have a memory problem. Clinical trials examining medications that might work to improve memory functioning or slow memory decline. Studies of new technologies to help us better identify the early signs of disease.
