As we head into the final few weeks of summer, now is the time to be planning and registering for Fall activities.

We are exited to have Preschool Academy and After School returning in Fall 2022.  Spaces are still available in both programs.

Registration is underway for fall athletic leagues including Youth Soccer, Youth Flag Football, and the 13-15-year-old division of Youth Basketball.

Lastly, our general recreation enrichment programs resume their school year calendar after Labor Day with Start Smart Soccer, Martial Arts, Tai Chi, and Adult Crafting Club all having August registration deadlines.

Program Registration

In-Person Registration: NOTE NEW LOCATION. Visit the Bonnie B. Davis Environment and Agricultural Center, Suite 140, 1020 US 70 West, Hillsborough during regular office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-11:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
 
Online Registration: Registration is accepted online at www.orangecountync.gov/activityregistration. If you or your family has participated with us before and you do not know your account information, call 919.245.2660 during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-11:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.-4:30 p.m. ) for further assistance.

Preschool & After School header
Preschool Academy Header
Preschool Academy is the perfect classroom for your little one. Our curriculum-based learning uses age-appropriate activities to teach students numbers, letters, colors, rhythm, and science. Based on the weekly theme, students will partake in a wide variety of activities each day. This program provides both academic enrichment and socialization opportunities. Snack is provided.

Schedule

Enrollment is available for part-time either Monday-Wednesday-Friday or Tuesday-Thursday. Activities will be unique each day. Participants may enroll in both sessions for a full week of programming. Fees will not be prorated for partial attendance.

Daily activities include circle time, story time, letter-of-the-week activity, song and movement, snack, playground, arts and crafts, and discovery centers.

Program Requirements

Enrolled participants must be potty-trained. Diapers or pull-ups are not acceptable in Preschool Academy.

After School Banner

Registration begins July 15

The After School Program provides enrichment learning including physical activity and fitness, homework assistance, STEAM-based activities in the areas of science, engineering, art, music, and much more. The program operates from school dismissal until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday when school is in session. After School serves students enrolled at Pathways, River Park, and Central Elementary Schools. The program is located at the Central Recreation Center in downtown Hillsborough. Transportation from your child's school to the Recreation Center is provided via County owned- and operated- 15 passenger vans. Snack is provided.

Schedule

After School follows Orange County Schools Traditional Academic Calendar for Students. Daily schedule will include physical activity (3:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m.), snack (3:30 p.m.-3:45 p.m.), homework help or quiet self-directed activity (3:45 p.m.-4:15 p.m.), theme/enrichment activity (4:15 p.m.-5:00 p.m.), and group games or activity centers (5:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.).
