November 2022

November means that winter is right around the corner, and for many of our young athletes that means the start of Basketball season. Registration is ongoing through November 12 for Youth Winter Basketball for boys and girls ages 5- to 12-years-old. Knock off the rust before the start of the season with a special pre-season clinic with OHS Lady Panther Coach BJ Condron. More information on both programs are below.

Many of our November-December classes start in just a few days, and some such as Preschool, Adult Cooking, and Start Smart Basketball still have openings. Register soon as classes start next week.

Program Registration

In-Person Registration: NOTE NEW LOCATION. Visit the Bonnie B. Davis Environment and Agricultural Center, Suite 140, 1020 US 70 West, Hillsborough during regular office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-11:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

Online Registration: Registration is accepted online at www.orangecountync.gov/activityregistration. If you or your family has participated with us before and you do not know your account information, call 919.245.2660 during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-11:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.-4:30 p.m. ) for further assistance.

Costume & Pumpkin Decorating Contest Voting

Halloween Spooktacular includes our annual Costume and Pumpkin Decorating Contests. We're calling on all of our community to help decide our winners via online voting. Voting begins no later than 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 31 and will remain open through 11:59 p.m., Sunday, November 6. One vote permitted per IP address. Voting can be accessed the following ways:

Winners will be announced on our social media channels on Monday, November 7.

Preschool Academy is the perfect classroom for your little one. Our curriculum-based learning uses age-appropriate activities to teach students numbers, letters, colors, rhythm, and science. Based on the weekly theme, students will partake in a wide variety of activities each day. This program provides both academic enrichment and socialization opportunities. Snack is provided.

Enrollment is available for part-time Monday-Wednesday-Friday. Daily activities include circle time, story time, letter-of-the-week activity, song and movement, snack, playground, arts and crafts, and discovery centers.
