Orange County to Host Series of Climate Action Plan Focus Group Sessions

Orange County Sustainability invites the community to share feedback during three on-line focus group sessions. Orange County hopes to address the climate crisis by setting a goal of using 100% renewable energy by 2050.

The goal of the focus group sessions is to inform residents about the climate action planning process and to invite community members to provide feedback on the Climate Action Plan.

There is also an on-line survey available for those who are unable to attend the focus groups.

Community members that live or work in Orange County are encouraged to attend the focus group session(s) that align with their interests and work. The meetings are scheduled to take place as follows:

Community Focus Group: Business Community March 14 at 9:30 am via Zoom. Pre-registration is required by visiting this link.
Community Focus Group: Non-Profits and Community Groups
March 15 at 1:00 pm via Zoom. Pre-registration is required by visiting this link.
Community Focus Group: Student Voices from UNC-Chapel Hill and Durham Tech
March 23 at 1:00 pm via Zoom. Pre-registration is required by visiting this link.

Take the Survey to Help Create the Orange County Climate Action Plan

Community members are also encouraged to provide input on the Climate Action Plan through an on-line survey. The survey takes about 5 minutes to complete and will help inform and shape the development of the Climate Action Plan.
