Resolution Approving Conveyance of Personal Property to A Nonprofit Organization

 

Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute §160A-280, Orange County provides notice to declare surplus or obsolete county computers and other electronic equipment and authorizing donation of such equipment to Triangle Ecycling.  NCGS §160A-280 allows Orange County to donate to another governmental unit within the United States, or a nonprofit organization incorporated after advertising and Board approval. The purpose of said notice is for Orange County to declare surplus of four hundred four (404) desktop computers and one hundred sixty (160) laptop computers. Orange County has determined that the personal property described above is surplus, obsolete, or unused. The computers will be used by Triangle Ecycling for educational purposes.  


The Orange County Board of Commissioners will consider a Resolution Approving Conveyance of Personal Property to A Nonprofit Organization, Pursuant to NCGS §160A-280, at their December 12, 2023 Business Meeting.   The meeting will be held at the Southern Human Services Center in Chapel Hill at 7 p.m.


Notice given this 5th day of December 2023.
