Basic Computer Classes for Adults

Computer Class: Online Job Searching part II | Saturday, December 7, 10-11:30 a.m. | Cybrary | Adult
In this class you will continue to learn about active and passive online job searching techniques. We will be covering additional online job search resources and websites, how to create a professional presence online, and how to manage all of your job search information. You will learn more about how to use Microsoft Word to format your resume using margins, bullet points, and "power verbs." There will be time to practice working on your own resume and job applications. Space is limited, so please call 919-918-7387 to register.

Hillsborough Chamber's Candlelight Tour

Support Your Library: Tour Lovely Homes, Hear Renowned and Emerging Authors, and Enjoy Some Family Fun, Sun. Dec. 8, 3-7 p.m. 

We are participating again this year! We will have music and author readings from 1-5. Enjoy the string ensemble from Eno River Academy and Flautist Quartet from Chapel Hill.

Hear readings from Suzanne Adair, Melissa Bourbon and Adam Cheshire. Partake of apple cider and cookies. Our event is free. But wait there’s more!

Purchase tickets to the home tour and you will be supporting the library, too, as one of the recipients of net proceeds is the Friends of the Orange County Public Library.

Holiday Hours Nov-Jan

Thanksgiving Week -- Main closes at 6 p.m. All locations closed Thursday and Friday. Regular weekend hours. 
Christmas Week -- All locations closed Tues, Dec. 24-26. Regular hours Dec. 27-30. Main closes at 6 p.m., Tues, Dec. 31.

New Years --  All locations closed New Year's Day. All locations return to regular hours on Thur, Jan. 2. 
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day -- All locations will be closed Mon, Jan, 20.
