    Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) provides FREE federal and state income tax preparation to eligible individuals with low-to-middle income, regardless of age or county of residence. Make an Appointment Today: 1 - Online at BIT.LY/OCNCVITA. Be sure to review the eligibility guidelines and What to Bring document; or 2 - Call us at 919-245-4242. Please leave your name and phone number for a return call. Walk-in Clients will be served if time permits. Walk-in clients must meet all eligibility criteria and have all required documents. You should arrive by 9 am for the best chance of being served. Service without an appointment cannot be guaranteed.

    Please join us on Thursdays from 9 - 11:45 am for various activities offered in Spanish. The Social Club offers socialization, exercise, and learning with other seniors in Spanish. Typical gatherings might involve discussing health; exercising for 20 min, relaxing activities, and/or learning a new skill (eg navigate social media, the computer, or an English conversation).   3. Diabetes Self-Management Education Program

    Do you have diabetes? Would you like to learn more about how to manage it? This program will cover the basics of diabetes including: nutrition and meal planning; medications and monitoring; exercise; living with diabetes; as well as detection and control of complications. . A medical provider’s referral is needed to enroll in the program. Lunch provided. Fee: Medicare (no co-pay), Medicaid ($3 co-pay) and some private insurance companies will pay for this program. There is a sliding scale fee based on income.

    1-year and 3-year rabies vaccinations will be available for $10. Please bring a previous rabies certificate in order to get the 3-year vaccine. Microchips also available for $35. Please bring all pets on leashes or in carriers.
