Thu, Sep 19 - Explores the period from 1565 - 1880, when the first Spanish explorers entered North America; the US expanded into Southwest territories that had been home to Native Americans; English and Spanish colonies; and the Mexican-American War striped Mexico of half its territories by 1848.
