2471 Live OutcomesThese are animals adopted, reclaimed by owners, transferred, or returned to the community. These outcomes resulted in an impressive 92% live release rate for our shelter in 2023.

500 Animals Fostered
Foster homes reduce the number of pets housed at the shelter, provide an ideal setting for socialization, and reduce the risk of infectious disease exposure.

100 Working Barn Cats Rehomed
These community cats are not social & can’t be safely handled or petted like typical house cats. This program gives them a second chance to live happy lives on their own terms. Cats are sterilized and vaccinated before being rehomed.

304 Rabies Vaccinations Administered
These vaccines were administered at low-cost, community clinics. Rabies is a fatal, viral infection and it is a law in North Carolina that dogs, cats, and ferrets older than four months must have a current and valid rabies vaccination.
