What is the Youth Leadership Academy?
The Youth Leadership Academy is an exciting new opportunity designed to uplift and empower young people in Orange County. Through a hands-on experience grounded in Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR), students will explore community issues, develop leadership skills, and design projects that drive real change.
What Will Participants Do?
- Learn leadership, research, and advocacy skills
- Identify and explore issues that matter to Orange County youth
- Work alongside local government and community leaders
- Collaborate on youth-led action projects
- Build community, confidence, and lifelong civic engagement habits
Who Can Join?
The academy is open to high school-aged youth in Orange County who are curious, motivated, and ready to make a difference—no experience needed!
