The Orange County Department on Aging and the Project EngAGE Mental Wellness Senior Resource Team invite the public to attend the final presentation in the Decluttering Series: Paper Decluttering on Jan. 9.
We all have documents we've held onto for those "just in case" scenarios, or even stacks of papers we don't know what to do with. Papers can quickly accumulate into clutter, and it can be challenging to know where to start when it comes to the decluttering process. Clutter resulting from stacks of mail, paperwork, packages, books, magazines, holiday décor, knickknacks, mementos, and more on and around surfaces and furniture can contribute to increased stress and create safety hazards.
Join us as we welcome back Elizabeth Hirsch, owner of The Downsizers and member of the Orange County Hoarding Task Force, as we learn best practices for paper decluttering and file organization systems, or as Elizabeth calls it, “taming the paper beast.”
The event will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 9, from 4 - 5:30 p.m., at the Seymour Center, located at 2551 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill.
Please register by Monday, Jan. 8 with the Seymour Center front desk at 919-968-2070.
