The Orange County Department on Aging and the Project EngAGE Mental Wellness Senior Resource Team invite the public to attend the second presentation in the Aging and the Five Senses Series: Vision on Feb. 15.
Did you know vision is one of the first of our five senses to change when it comes to aging? Bring your questions or just your ears for an interactive conversation about vision and aging with Dr. Beth R. Friedland with UNC Ophthalmology.
We’ll learn about age-related vision changes, adaptations, and eye conditions that can develop as we age. You will receive a pair of vision goggles that simulate various age-related eye conditions such as macular degeneration, cataracts, and more as we learn together about vision and aging.
The event will take place on Thursday, Feb. 15, from 4 - 5:30 pm, at the Passmore Center, located at 103 Meadowlands Dr. in Hillsborough. Please register by Feb. 15 with the Passmore Center front desk at 919-245-2015.
For more information, please contact Lydia Arnold at larnold@orangecountync.gov or 919-245-4276.
