The Orange County Department on Aging is inviting the public to attend our bi-annual Veterans’ Wall of Honor Recognition Ceremony on May 8.
The Wall of Honor recognizes eight veterans in a ceremony twice a year and we are honored to bring this tradition back to the Seymour Center. This May, we will recognize and celebrate our 15th class of veterans.
The wall serves as a tribute to our veteran participants with a rotating portrait and brief description. The public can learn about the wall's inception and honor the heroic older adults of Orange County.
The ceremony will take place at the Seymour Center on Wed., May 8 from 10 – 11 am, followed by a time of reflection and a reception. The Seymour Center is located at 2551 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill.
The event is FREE.
Participants and guests are asked to register by Wed., May 1. To register, please call 919-968-2070.
