The Department of Emergency Services is carefully watching the predicted path and timing of Tropical Storm Debby for Orange County. The timing of the storm’s arrival has accelerated, and current models project the most significant rainfall to occur in the early hours of Thursday, August 8, between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. To avoid hazardous employee travel during those hours, nonessential County offices will delay opening for in-person services until 10:00 a.m., August 8, 2024.
