The Orange County Department on Aging Project EngAGE LGBTQ+ Senior Resource Team invites the public to attend a panel discussion, How to Be a Trans Ally, on September 26.
Now more than ever, it is vital that our transgender community members feel seen, heard, and supported. Learning to be an ally to the transgender people in our lives and to transgender people overall is an ongoing journey. Identifying the best ways to support them can sometimes be challenging; some ways are straight forward and easy, while others require more time, energy, and commitment. Join the LGBTQ+ SRT for an open and honest conversation with our expert panelists as we explore how we can be allies and build a supportive community for transgender individuals.
This free event will take place on Thu, Sep 26, from 5:30 – 7 pm, at the Seymour Center, located at 2551 Homestead Rd, Chapel Hill.
Light refreshments will be served at 5:30 pm. Program begins at 6 pm.
Please register by Tue, Sep 24 at 919-968-2070.
