Due to the winter weather warning, all non-essential Orange County government offices and services will be closed at 3 pm on Friday, Jan. 10. Some closures will also take place on Saturday, Jan. 11. Facilities closed on Saturday, Jan. 11 include:
- Seymour and Passmore Centers
- Animal Services
- Orange County Main Library and the Cybrary in Carrboro
- Eno Arts Mill
- Solid Waste Convenience Centers and the Landfill
Orange County Recreation has canceled after-school and basketball on Friday, Jan. 10, and all activities on Saturday, Jan. 11. Enrolled participants and families should check their email for makeups or any additional notices specific to impacted programs. The Little River Trail Run at Little River Park scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 11, has been canceled and will be rescheduled.
Orange County Public Transit will suspend all transit services by 3 pm on Friday, Jan. 10 to ensure the safety of all passengers and staff. They will continue to provide essential life-sustaining Demand Response trips, specifically for dialysis and medical appointments.
For Fixed Routes:
- Hill to Hill: Single Route Modified service will be available until 3 pm on Friday, Jan. 10.
- Hillsborough Circulator: Single Route Modified service will also continue until 3 pm on Friday, Jan. 10.
- Orange Alamance: There will be no service on Friday, Jan. 10.
