[ARCHIVED] Orange County shuts down non-essential services Friday, Sept. 30, due to Ian

Ian is expected to bring heavy rains and strong winds earlier than previously anticipated. As a result, the county will suspend non-essential services Friday, Sept 30. All virtual and remote services will operate under current conditions.

  • Friday's Movie in the Park of Sonic 2 has been cancelled.
  • The National Recovery Month Gathering scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m. at the Freedom House Recovery Center in Chapel Hill has been postponed to Friday, Oct. 7.
