After three years of dedicated service as a member of the Orange County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), Commissioner Anna Richards is stepping down from her District 1 seat, effective December 2, 2024.
During her tenure, Commissioner Richards has been a steadfast advocate for the residents of Orange County, contributing significantly to the community's well-being. Her commitment to public service and youth-driven priorities have left a lasting impact on the Orange County community.
“I feel proud of the things we have accomplished. We have made progress on housing, the Greene Tract, and school infrastructure,” said Commissioner Anna Richards. “Orange County now has a Climate Action Plan, a Strategic Plan, and is solidifying a Comprehensive Use Plan.”
The Orange County Board of Commissioners expresses its heartfelt appreciation to Commissioner Richards for her hard work and unwavering dedication. A resolution commending Commissioner Anna Richards for her service to Orange County was passed at the November 19, 2024, Board of County Commissioners meeting. Her colleagues commend her accomplishments and wish her and her family the very best in their future endeavors.
