[ARCHIVED] Department on Aging to offer free tax preparation service for eligible individuals

Orange County will once again sponsor the IRS VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) tax preparation program.

IRS Certified VITA volunteers provide FREE federal and state income tax preparation, including free electronic filing, to eligible individuals with low-to-middle income. Clients are not restricted by age or county residency, but must meet eligibility guidelines.

Our tax season begins Feb. 6 and runs through April 13. Schedule your appointment online at www.orangecountync.gov/OCNCVITA  or call 919-245-4242 today!

Passmore Center (103 Meadowlands Drive, Hillsborough)

  • Wednesdays and Saturdays: 9 a.m.-Noon

Seymour Center (2551 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill)

  • Thursdays and Fridays, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Saturdays 9 a.m.-Noon
