[ARCHIVED] Orange County Announces Spring 2019 Job Fair to be held March 27

Employer JOB FAIR

Orange County Department of Social Services (DSS) will host the Spring 2019 Job and Trade Fair on Wednesday, March 27, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The job fair will provide job seekers a unique opportunity to connect face-to-face with potential employers. Past events have had as many as 85 companies looking for workers, including:

  • Adecco Staffing
  • General Electric
  • Orange County Government
  • Bojangles
  • LabCorp
  • United States Postal Service
  • Carolina Trucking Company
  • Lowe’s
  • Sports Endeavors
  • FedEx
  • Mebane Air, Inc.
  • Premier Home Health Care Services
  • Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools
  • Durham County Sheriff’s Department
  • University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

The goal of the event is for employers to leave with several possible candidates for hire. Candidates are encouraged to bring their resume and dress professionally. No registration is required for the event.

“This event is an excellent opportunity for employers to meet potential employees with a variety of skill sets, from experienced professionals to talented entry-level individuals,” said Lindsey Shewmaker, Orange County DSS Human Services Manager.

Crowd at job fair photoThe bi-annual job fair is also an opportunity for veterans to meet with a variety of employers in an array of industries and fields.

The event will take place at the Orange Works Employment & Training Center at 113 Mayo Street, Hillsborough, NC, 27278.
