[ARCHIVED] Orange County to host workshop exploring working, starting your own business & volunteer options

The Orange County Department on Aging invites the public to attend Working, Starting Your Own Business, or Volunteering after Retirement: Exploring Your Options, a free workshop for mature job seekers.

Are you searching for a full-time or part-time job? Exploring a new career? Thinking about starting your own business? What do you want to do?

Discover the endless possibilities available to retirees. Experts will share valuable information to help improve your job search or career exploration, offer resources for starting your own business, and guidance on volunteering.

The event will take place on July 17, from 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., at Durham Tech’s Orange County Campus, 525 College Park Road in Hillsborough.

Workshops include:

  • Entrepreneuring at 55+
  • Financial Planning / Health Insurance
  • Discover Your Creativity
  • Starting a New Business
  • Owning / Operating a Franchise
  • Volunteering
  • What Do Employers Seek in Candidates (Employer Panel)

Refreshments provided. Participants are asked to register by Friday, July 12.
