Orange County Department on Aging and NCCU Alumni Orange County Chapter invite the public to a Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Friday, Jan. 17.

Join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr and all that he accomplished–his courage and nonviolent protests. He will forever be remembered.

The program will take place at the Passmore Center on Friday, Jan. 17, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Guests are asked to register by Friday, Jan. 10.

The celebration features special guest speaker, Danita Mason-Hogans, who is a native of Chapel Hill and comes from seven generations of “movement people”. She has also been an education activist for over 30 years and is employed with the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University where she serves as Program Manager for the Critical Oral Histories program.
