[ARCHIVED] Golf tournament to benefit Orange County Veterans Memorial

The 1st Annual Veterans Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at the beautiful Occoneechee Golf Course in Hillsborough on Friday, Oct. 19. The Captain's Choice (super ball) tournament will feature four-person teams with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Orange County Veterans Memorial, which is located at the Orange County Southern Human Services Campus in Chapel Hill.

The cost to register a team is $200. Individuals can register for $50 and will be placed on a team. The fee includes golf, cart, boxed lunch, prizes (longest drive, closest-to-the-pin) and one mulligan. Packs of mulligans and 2 red tees will be sold for $20 (limit one per team).

Businesses can sponsor a team for $275, which includes a four-person team and a hole sponsorship. Businesses can also sponsor a hole for $100, which includes includes one individual player. Hole sponsorships are limited to one per hole.

Entries must be received by Oct. 11, 2018. Field is limited to 108 players (27 teams) and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
