[ARCHIVED] Orange County unveils new space at Passmore Center

Orange County Department on Aging invites the public to a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the recent completion of the Jerry M. Passmore Center’s expansion project. The ceremony will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 5 pm.

The Passmore Center, located at 103 Meadowlands Drive in Hillsborough, offers a variety of programs including classes, job search advice and workshops, lunches, trips, and much more. It is a place for older adults to relax, socialize, and immerse themselves in wellness, creativity, intellectual stimulation, volunteerism, and community.

Terry Colville, the programs and operations manager at the Passmore Center, is excited about the completion on the project. “Increased participation at the center led to the need for additional space," she said. "We will now be able to offer new classes and a beautiful setting for social engagement.”

Light refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
