The Orange County Department on Aging invites the public to sing with Encore Sentimental Journey Singers, a supportive chorus for those with memory loss and their care partner.
Encore Creativity for Older Adults is the nation’s largest choral arts organization for adults 55 and over. With over 1900 singers, and over 50 ensembles (and growing!) nationwide in more than 10 states, Encore is a leading organization in the field of creative aging.
Encore Sentimental Journey Singers is a 6-week pilot program under the direction of Susan Stedman. Encore welcomes anyone 55+ who loves to sing, or wants to give it a try! Our non-auditioned chorales offer music, friendship, and fun in a relaxed environment to connect those with early- to mid-stage cognitive change with their care partners through song. No experience is needed, just great music and a welcoming place to belong.
Join us Monday, March 16 at 2:30 – 4 pm at the Seymour Center located at 2551 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill. This program is FREE! Register online for Encore by clicking this link.
If have questions regarding the event or need additional information, please contact Alison Smith at 919-245-4251 or alsmith@orangecountync.gov.
