Orange County Roadshow

The Orange County Roadshows take place at a time and a place that is convenient to our community members. The purpose of the Roadshow is to bring government services straight to the people we serve. 

The next Orange County Roadshow will take place on Sunday, October 12 from 2 to 5 pm at the Cedar Grove Community Center at 5800 NC Hwy 86, Hillsborough, NC. 

This free, family-friendly event will allow community members to conveniently access government services in an informal setting close to home. More than 20 county departments will be present to answer questions, share program information, and assist with applications for services.

The event will include refreshments and a free raffle to win prizes. The raffle prizes will be announced throughout the event and you do not need to be present to win.

Services and Opportunities

Residents will be able to:

• Learn about food security resources
• Apply for public assistance
• Register for activities provided by the Library, Aging, or Recreation departments
• Learn about property assessments
• Apply for the Longtime Homeowners Assistance Program
• Get information about state tax assistance programs (Present Use Value, Disabled Vets, Homestead Exclusion)
• Explore pet fostering, low-cost rabies and microchip clinics, and barn cat programs
• Sign up for a library card
• Apply for small business or agriculture grants
• Apply to serve on a county board or committee
• Learn about the Orange County Land Use Plan 2050
