Twin Creeks (Moniese Nomp) Park

This park and educational campus is a 193-acre site located north of Carrboro for a master-planned district park and school's campus. Planning and design for the project is underway.

"Moniese Nomp" is Tutelo-Saponi for Twin Creeks, to honor the Occoneechee Native Americans who lived in this area before European settlement. It is pronounced mo-nee-ay-say-nom-p.
