The Orange County Department on Aging and the Project EngAGE Mental Wellness Senior Resource Team invite the public to attend Anyone Can Be A Mental Wellness Advocate on June 10.

Mental health matters—and everyone has the power to make a difference. Join us for an inspiring and practical program designed to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and tools to support mental wellness and drive positive change in their communities.

Whether you're advocating for yourself, a loved one, or your wider community, this event provides actionable strategies, key resources, and expert insights to help reduce stigma, promote understanding, and build a culture of compassion and support.

We are honored to welcome expert Dr. Tanya Bass, who will guide attendees through the essential steps of becoming an effective mental wellness advocate. Her dynamic approach emphasizes empowerment, inclusion, and real-world tools for fostering mental health awareness and resilience.

This FREE virtual event will take place on Tue, June 10 from 4 – 5:30 pm. An in-person viewing option will be offered at the Seymour Center, located at 2551 Homestead Rd in Chapel Hill.

Please register by Tue, Jun 10 at www.orangecountync.gov/BeYourAdvocate for the virtual platform.

To attend the in-person viewing, please register by Tue, Jun 10 at 919-968-2070.
