The Toy Chest attempts to provide new toys to each eligible child in Orange County. The number of eligible children continues to increase each year and the Department of Social Services relies on individuals, businesses, community groups, schools and churches to meet all these needs.
Benefits of Donating
Donating to the Toy Chest is a great way for young children, Girl Scout and Boy Scout Troops, classrooms and Sunday Schools to get involved. Through toy drives, toy donation box collection sites and “bring-a-gift” parties they can help children their age have a joyful holiday. Toy drives are also a great way for businesses to increase employee morale and give back to the community.
Please consider donating toys to the Toy Chest so that each child in Orange County will have at least one new toy on Christmas morning.
How to Donate Toys
Step 1
Collect or purchase new, unopened toys or gift cards. Not sure what to get? Here is a list of Gift Ideas (PDF).
Step 2
Bring toys to either office location of the Department of Social Services during regular business hours by December 9th. Please deliver any gift cards directly to staff, or drop off toys at one of these Toys for Tots drop-off locations.
Step 3
Be sure to leave your name and address for a receipt. Remember, all donations are tax deductible.
