These routes are operated by Orange County Public Transportation and are open to the general public.

Hillsborough Orange Loop Fare-free service within Hillsborough Hillsborough Orange Loop

The Hillsborough Orange Loop is fare-free and connects major origins and destinations throughout Hillsborough with hourly service.  The Orange Loop runs Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Hillsborough Blue Loop Fare-free service within Hillsborough Hillsborough Blue Loop

The Hillsborough Blue Loop is fare-free and connects major origins and destinations throughout Hillsborough with hourly service.  The Blue Loop runs Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Orange-Alamance Connector Fare-free service,  Hillsborough, Efland, Mebane  Orange-Alamance Connector

The Orange-Alamance Connector service connects major origins and destinations in Hillsborough, Efland, and Mebane (western Orange County) with hourly service provided in both the eastbound (Mebane-Efland-Hillsborough) and westbound (Hillsborough-Efland-Mebane) directions. The route operates Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. 

Orange-Chapel Hill Connector (OCH) Fare-free service, mid-day service Monday through Friday between Hillsborough and Chapel Hill Orange-Chapel Hill Connector See GoTriangle Route 420 for service in this area during peak travel times.

The Orange-Chapel Hill Midday Connector is also known as the "Hill to Hill." This service connects major origins and destinations in Hillsborough and Chapel Hill with hourly service provided in both the northbound (Chapel Hill-Hillsborough) and southbound (Hillsborough-Chapel Hill) directions. The OCH runs hourly Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

GoTriangle is the regional transit provider serving Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding areas. GoTriangle has two routes that serve Hillsborough, NC:

  • ODX (Orange-Durham Express)
    Express route serving Efland, Mebane, Hillsborough, and Durham in mornings and evenings
    No fares are being collected at this time due to the pandemic.

  • Route 420 
    Operated by Chapel Hill Transit, provides morning and late afternoon service from Hillsborough to Chapel Hill
    No fares are being collected at this time due to the pandemic.

Chapel Hill Transit serves the Town of Chapel Hill, the University of North Carolina, and Carrboro. All public routes are fare-free.
