Orange County Department on Aging and the Senior Health Advocacy and Resource Partners of Orange County (SHARP) honored thirty-eight individuals for their outstanding service in long-term care on Thursday, November 14th during a Direct Care Worker Award ceremony.
Caitlin Fenhagen, Orange County Deputy Manager, recognized all twenty-two nominees including six individuals who received the following 2024 SHARP Direct Care Worker awards:
Longevity: Latasha Branch – Carol Woods Retirement Community
Rising Star: Elijah Cheruiyot – Homewatch Caregivers of the Triangle
Client Impact: Ahmani Carthins – CareYaya
Going the Extra Mile: Adalgovany “Geo” Caceres – Carol Woods Retirement Community
Leadership: Phyllis Sheref – Carol Woods Retirement Community
Direct Care Worker of the Year: Monique Hazel – Brookdale
