Quit Nicotine for Good! Orange County Health Department Offers Freshstart Class in May 2025

Hillsborough, NC (April 15, 2025) -- Free Freshstart Quit-Nicotine Class in May 2025

The Orange County Health Department is offering a free Freshstart class in May for anyone 18 years or older who lives or works in Orange County.

Freshstart is a program that helps people quit using nicotine. It works for anyone who smokes, uses dip, vapes, or uses other nicotine products. You’ll learn helpful tips and support in a small group setting.

In this class, you’ll learn:

  • How to know when you’re ready to quit and how to choose your quit day

  • What medicines can help you quit

  • Lifestyle changes that make quitting easier

  • How to get ready for your quit day

  • Ways to handle stress and avoid gaining weight

  • How to stay nicotine-free for good

The class has two sessions, each two hours long, for a total of four hours.
Classes will be held in person on Wednesdays, May 7 and May 14, from 4–6 p.m.
