- Counselor in Training - youth development program for 13-15-year-olds in support of camp implementation with focus on developing leadership, teamwork, customer service, and programming skills. Participation is by application and selected participants pay a nominal fee each week. This is not a paid position.
Registration
Payment is due in full at the time of registration.
Registration begins Monday, February 16, 8:30 a.m.
In-person registration is available at the Bonnie B. Davis Environment and Agricultural Center, Suite 140, 1020 US 70 West, Hillsborough during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-11:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
Online registration is available at www.orangecountync.gov/ActivityRegistration. Online registration is available 24/7. Phone support for online registration available at 919.245.2660 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-11:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
Individuals will not be able to prefill their carts. Camp options will not go live on WebTrac until Monday morning.
Card Usage Fee:
Transactions are subject to a Card Usage Fee equal to 3% of your total purchase, effective July 1, 2024. This fee will be applied to all payments made by credit or debit cards, regardless of where the payment is made—online, in person, or by phone.
Refund Policy
Fees are 100% refundable when the program is cancelled by the Department.
If requested prior to Friday, May 1, a refund will be issued less a 20% processing fee per camp and/or Extended Care cancelled. After close of business on May 1, no refunds will be issued.
Camps are non-transferable; a registration for one child cannot be given to another. Refund exceptions may be made with documentation for academic requirements.
Fees
- Half-day, on-site camps - $85
- Field trip camps - $175
Lunch Supervision
Campers enrolled in a full day of camp (two half-day camps in the same week) may participate in lunch supervision (12-1 p.m.). Lunch is not provided; campers must bring their own meals. Refrigerator and microwave are not available.
