Where Your Tax Dollars Go
Property taxes help make Orange County a safe, healthy, and welcoming place to live. When you enjoy a park, call the police or fire department, send your child to school, or check out a library book, property taxes are helping pay for those services.
Your tax dollars also support programs that protect children and seniors, keep our air and water clean, inspect restaurants, and help people find stable jobs.
Property taxes are the largest source of funding for these community services.
The County’s Annual Operating Budget shows how funds support schools, public safety, social services, libraries, and other community programs.
