Free Programs and Services

• Cold Weather Shelter
  • Information about Cold Weather resources and shelter for people living unhoused in Orange County.
• Housing Helpline
  • Information and referral to programs within the Housing Department and in the Orange County community.
  • Affordable housing listings
• Emergency Housing Assistance (Ayuda de Emergencia para Vivienda) 
  • Financial assistance with rent for households in crisis. 
• Partnership to End Homelessness (OCPEH)
  • Services for individuals currently experiencing homelessness such as Street Outreach, Harm Reduction and Deflection, Permanent Supportive Housing, and Rapid Rehousing
• Eviction Diversion 
  • Legal information about housing issues
  • Legal representation in court 
• Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8)
  • Rental assistance for eligible community members, formerly known as Section 8
• Home Repair Programs
  • Home repair assistance for homeowners from local community agencies who meet the income and homeownership requirements
• Longtime Homeowners Assistance  
  • Property tax assistance for Orange County residents who meet the income and homeownership requirements
